Io seeks to integrate experiences of involuntary musical imagery (INMI) into the aesthetic musical experience. The piece unfolds in an imaginary atmosphere where sound and movement behave differently — fragile, interwoven, and sometimes disconnected. It invites us to question what we take for granted in perception, blurring the boundary between what we hear and what we imagine, and leaving space for the imagination to complete what is only partially revealed.
