BIO

José Luis Perdigón is a Canarian (Spain) composer and performer based in Berlin. His works engage with the expressive dimension of temporal structures and the visual–spatial connotations of timbre, using unusual sound objects and a subversive approach to repetition and silence. He explores auditory and musical imagery — particularly voluntary and involuntary musical imagery (VMI / INMI) — and visual imagery, seeking moments where perception and imagination coexist and overlap.

His music has been commissioned and performed by soloists, ensembles, and orchestras including Ninon Hannecart-Ségal, Neue Vocalsolisten, PHACE, Trio Abstrakt, Kebyart Quartet, Schallfeld Ensemble, Trio Catch, Ensemble Ascolta, Trio Accanto, Vertixe Sonora, Plural Ensemble, and Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt.
He has participated in festivals such as Impuls (Graz), Musik der Jahrhunderte (Stuttgart), the Darmstadt International Summer Courses for New Music, Mixtur Festival, and the Canary Islands International Music Festival.

He is the co-founder, composer, and performer of Kollektiv Unruhe, a Berlin-based collective of composers and performers dedicated to contemporary creation.
